After long consideration, and much clicking on weird answers to strange questions, I came to the conclusion that I am a ...
Neutral Good Elf Ranger Mage

Alignment:
Neutral Good characters believe in the power of good above all else. They will work to make the world a better place, and will do whatever is necessary to bring that about, whether it goes for or against whatever is considered 'normal'.

Race:
Elves are the eldest of all races, although they are generally a bit smaller than humans. They are generally well-cultured, artistic, easy-going, and because of their long lives, unconcerned with day-to-day activities that other races frequently concern themselves with. Elves are, effectively, immortal, although they can be killed. After a thousand years or so, they simply pass on to the next plane of existance.

Primary Class:
Rangers are the defenders of nature and the elements. They are in tune with the Earth, and work to keep it safe and healthy.

Secondary Class:
Mages harness the magical energies for their own use. Spells, spell books, and long hours in the library are their loves. While often not physically strong, their mental talents can make up for this.

Deity:
Mielikki is the Neutral Good goddess of the forest and autumn. She is also known as the Lady of the Forest, and is the Patron of Rangers. Her followers are devoted to nature, and believe in the positive and outreaching elements of it. They use light armor, and a variety of weapons suitable for hunting, which they are quite skilled at. Mielikki's symbol is a unicorn head.

Update (12-09-2011): It seems that, according to http://www.easydamus.com/character.html, I am a Neutral Good Human Sorcerer. Could it be the 10 year difference? At least it's good to know I'm still Neutral Good :-)

Free Internet

To cite a used cliché, in this day and age nobody really cares about anything but themselves, their kids, the job, getting food on the table and paying their bills. Not having kids to worry about yet, and being only human, I tend to worry about other stuff, like freedom of speech, ethics, and the occasional trip to the ice cream parlour. This is one of those times when I'm not particularly into ice cream, and so my issue is with freedom on the internet, and what is happening right now as regarding all the anti-everything bills that keep popping up in the US.

Now I live in Portugal, so as a typical portuguese I tend to laugh myself silly everytime the americans decide to do something about terrorists, hackers or other generically named "bad guy". Because they keep forgetting the rest of the world exists, no matter how hard they try, they always seem to make a mess of things. As a computer nut, though, I tend to consider the internet as a part of my world, and that forces me to be aware of what the US are trying to do with it. and it's ugly.

I'm not going to go over everything that has been happening (because I'm really lazy), I'm just going to point you to a few sites, so you can be aware that something is rotten in the kingdom of the internet, and you can bet it's not the king.

"In America, they first came for the hackers, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a hacker. Then they came for DeCSS, and I didn't speak up because I didn't watch DVDs. Then they came for Napster and MP3, and I didn't speak up because I didn't listen to MP3s. Then they came for the cryptographers and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a cryptographer. Then they came for the researchers and the curious, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a researcher and didn't question things. Then they came for me, but by that time there was no one left to speak up." --- Richard Forno, Washington, DC 2001

The problem with music

Hugh Jackman

I've always been crazy about comics, particularly from Marvel, especially the X-Men. My favorite has always been Logan, codename Wolverine. So, naturally, when the movie X-Men came out I was very curious how they'd portray the guy, seeing he has become the most important character on the team.

Never heard of Hugh Jackman? Me neither, until I saw the movie, of course. The movie sucks, by the way. But not Wolverine/Logan/Hugh. Oh no. Him and Anna Paquin are the only believable characters around, and Hugh does a tremendous job at incarnating Logan.

And let me tell you, those muscles on the suit he's wearing? Well, those're as real as it gets... :) Well, just check the pics and you'll know what I mean. %-)

The pic on the left is one of the best-made scenes in the movie, where Wolvie wakes up startled and accidentally runs his claws through Rogue (Anna Paquin). Try the second one from the right as your desktop background, with black as your color. You won't be disappointed... (Click on the pictures to see them in their real size).

If you want more, go here.

Antonio Banderas

Ai ai ai... Everyone (anyone?) seen "El Mariachi:Desperado"?
If you're wondering what or why I'm talking about this, get out of here now. You are not a woman for sure, and are here in disguise.

Still there? 'k.

I'm talking about Mr. Antonio Banderas. I mean, is he good or what? I mean, in the movie, of course... hehehe... Sometimes the casters really strike gold, they couldn't find a better guy for this part. The perfect blend of melancholy, violence and, well, check it out. You'll see.

Anyway, I'll just leave you with a pic or two, so if you live on Mars and don't know what the hell I'm talking about, you can get the picture. %-) Oh, yes, and don't forget to check out that poster on the third pic. It really says it all (hehehehe!).

Soy un hombre muy honrado
que me gusta lo mejor
a mujeres no me faltan
ni el dinero ni el amor

montando en mi caballo
por la serra yo me voy
las estrellas si la luna
ellas me dicem adónde voy

ay ay ay ay
ay ay mi amor
ay mi morena
de mi corazon

me gusta tocar guitarra
me gusta cantal el sol
mariachi me acompaña
quando canto mi canción

me gusta tomar mi escobas
aguardientes lo mejor
también el tequila blanca
con su sal en el sabor

ay ay ay ay
ay ay mi amor
ay mi morena de mi corazón

me gusta tocar guitarra
me gusta cantal el sol
mariachi me acompaña
quando canto mi cancion

me gusta tomar mi (escobas?)
aguardientes lo mejor
también el tequila blanca
con su sal en el sabor

ay ay ay ay
ay ay mi amor
ay mi morena de mi corazón
